Projects

The School Tour Project was the first project in the virtual exchange between Essex, Brussels, Lille and Narbonne. In this project, students from Essex HS made short videos to introduce their school to their French and Belgian counterparts. The students are in French III, are about 15 years old, and have studied French for approximately two years. They used flip cameras and Windows Movie Maker to make the videos. Most of the students had not made movies before, so they were learning about filming, editing and narration as they worked. Find a compilation of student videos in this album on Vimeo

In The BIO Project, American students of the French language created short videos to introduce themselves to their French-speaking counterparts in Belgium and France. Their 2 ½ minute videos were supposed to be a snapshot about the student, featuring their school, interests, family, or friends.
